Amy England Summertown: Listen

Cold Snap

Actually wrote this one on a hot Septmeber day, looking forward to the snuggly season ahead.
It’s a sudden cold snap
But the nights are so hot
I don’t need an extra blanket on me, keeping me cozy, whenever he comes around-
The nights are getting long
And the light is growing dim
But I’ll be warmer than a kitten purring in the sunshine climbing in next to him.
During a sudden cold snap

Odelay hee come here come over
Fire is burning as it’s getting colder
All I need is a lean on his shoulder
To make the winter melt away
Away away away on a honeymoon
Loving like the month of June
On a winter afternoon
Swooning & swaying, saying I love you so
Won’t ever let you go
Back out in the snow

During a sudden cold snap
And the wood is all stacked
Throw another log on, come & get your boots off, lie down here with me

Temperature’s going down
And there’s no one else around
The way the snow is coming down, well there ain’t no telling how, we could be here for days…- During a sudden cold snap

Odelay hee come here come over
Fire is burning as it’s getting colder
All I need is a lean on his shoulder
To make the winter melt away
Away away away on a honeymoon
Loving like the month of June
On a winter afternoon
Swooning & swaying, saying I love you so
Won’t ever let you go
Back out in the snow
During a sudden cold snap
